Georgia CEC Business Award 2009

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the largest international professional organization for special educators, works to improve the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.

The Georgia CEC Business Award recognizes a business or corporation that has provided for the employment and enhancement of individuals with exceptionalities in order to promote and support their full participation in the community.

Nominations may be made by individuals, a CEC unit (state/provincial unit, branch, chapter, division, or subdivision), or a business association.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominees must be a for-profit business or corporation
  • Nominees may be a private or public business or corporation of any size
  • The efforts of the business or corporation must be consistent with CEC’s mission statement as described in the first paragraph
  • Businesses whose primary purpose is providing services to individuals with disabilities are not eligible

Rules and Instructions for Nomination

  • All nominations must be submitted in hard copy. All entries become Georgia CEC property and will not be returned.
  • Nominations may be made by individuals, a CEC unit or chapter, or a business association. Only one nomination will be accepted from each CEC unit.
