Awards

The Georgia State Unit of the Council for Exceptional Children is seeking nominations for the 2010 Awards.  Georgia CEC seeks to honor those outstanding individuals or organizations whose work is consistent with CEC’s mission: “CEC is an international community of educators who are the voice and vision of special and gifted education. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with exceptionalities and their families through professional excellence and advocacy.”

There will be seven categories for this year’s awards:

  1. Special Education Teacher
  2. Co-Teaching Team (New!)
  3. Special Education Paraprofessional (New!)
  4. Leadership
  5. Business
  6. Contributor
  7. Student (Yes I Can!)

The awards will be presented at the 2010 Georgia CEC Conference.  All nomination packets are due to the Georgia CEC Awards Committee by January 29, 2010.
